About the event

"Although they may not be as famous as their day-flying cousins, the butterflies, moths are extremely important in their ecosystems. The diversity of moths can tell us a lot about the plant diversity in an area and much more. Join us with Texas Master Naturalist and Park Volunteer, Caleb Hinojos, as we explore the magical world of moths and search for these important creatures under the dark of night. During this program, we will have light traps set up to examine moths up close as we walk the 1-mile Duck Pond Trail.

When: Friday, July 21st, 2023 from 8:30pm-11:30pm

Where: Duck Pond Trailhead

Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.

Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park."
